Police appeal to find member of public who found damaged till after burglary at Pools Surplus Stores in Hartlepool

Officers are appealing for members of the public to come forward following a burglary in Hartlepool.

At around 1.45am on Saturday, December 21, officers were called to reports of a burglary at the Pools Surplus Stores on Park Road in Hartlepool.

They believe that the suspect left the scene before police had arrived and are now looking for a person who handed in the shop’s till which was damaged.

A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: “An unknown member of the public located the damaged till from the burglary and handed it into the store. Officers are appealing for this person to please come forward as they may be able to assist officers with inquiries.”
