Police are appealing to trace the owners of items which are suspected to have been stolen from vehicles and homes in Hartlepool.

Police officers have recovered a range of items which include bottles of alcohol, designer sunglasses, work tools in a case, a diagnostic tool, a laptop and a Pandora bracelet in a box.

They believe that the listed items may have been stolen from vehicles or homes around the Brierton Lane, Sinclair Road, Longfellow Walk and Fletcher Walk areas of the town.

A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: “A 31-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary and has been released under investigation pending further inquiries.”

Anyone who thinks that the items may belong to them or has any information regarding possible thefts is asked to contact PC Lorene Haworth from Hartlepool CID on the non-emergency number 101.
