Police find haul of stolen goods, drugs and cash after house raided in Hartlepool

POLICE swooped on a house and discovered a stash of stolen goods, drugs and cash.

Officers from Hartlepool Police raided the property in Belk Street, off Raby Road, Hartlepool.

Stolen goods and heroin, and what is believed to be heroin substitute Subutex, was discovered during the search. There was also an amount of cash found.

A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: “Just after 10am on Friday, January 31, police entered an address on Belk Street under a property warrant. A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods, on possession of drugs and possession of criminal property.”

At the time the Mail went to press the man was in custody awaiting questioning.
