Police helicopter scrambled to ‘poacher’ report in Hartlepool

THE police helicopter was scrambled to the Owton Manor area of Hartlepool to a report of poachers at a farm.

But after a 10-minute search of the area the helicopter was stood down from the incident after no one was found.

The incident was reported by a member of the public around 6.30pm on Monday.

A Cleveland Police spokesman said: “We had a report of some poachers on a field on a farm in that area.
“The helicopter has been up looking for them.
“But we have had no further reports and nobody found.”
