Police hunting tyre slashers in Hartlepool

POLICE are hunting yobs who slashed the tyres of three cars in an area of Hartlepool.

A Vauxhall Vectra, a Ford Focus and a BMW X3 were targeted while parked in Eaglesfield Road, Eskdale Road, and Eddleston Walk on the town’s Owton Manor estate.

Officers believe the crimes were committed some time between 9pm Sunday, August 31, and 8am on Monday, September 1.

The incidents were reported to police by the owners of the vehicles on the Monday when the damage was noticed.

Today a spokeswoman for Cleveland Police said: “Three cars were damaged by having their tyres slashed in the Eaglesfield Road, Eskdale Road, and Eddleston Walk area of Owton Manor, in Hartlepool.

“We would appeal for anyone with any information to come forward.”
