Police investigation after man suffers leg injury

POLICE are appealing for information into how a man suffered leg injuries while walking home late at night.

Officers believe the 47-year-old may have been hit by a red car on Kingsley Avenue, in the town, as was walked home at around 11.25pm last Friday, December 20.

The man was taken to the University Hospital of North Tees, in Stockton, by ambulance, where he was later released with bruising.

Police are keen to trace a woman who was seen to be helping the man by the roadside after the incident.

Officers also want to speak to anyone who may have seen the man walking from Oxford Road on to Kingsley Avenue.
