A THIEF went into a babies clothing shop and swiped the owner’s phone.

Police were called to Babies Blessings, in Raby Road, Hartlepool, after receiving reports that an iPhone had been stolen.

The phone belonged to the shop owner, and is of sentimental value as it contains pictures and videos of her children.

Police carried out a search of the area to find the person responsible but it proved unsuccessful.

Officers conducted an area search as she was able to give directions of where the man had headed but unfortunately he was not found.”
