Three men are facing jail after they admitted burgling a house in Hartlepool.

Christopher Bowlt, aged 32, David Gibson, 36, and Stephen Gibson, 39, pleaded guilty to one count of burglary at Teesside Crown Court.

They made off with various electrical items, watches and cosmetics from a house in Musgrave Walk, in the Burbank area of town, on February 12 this year.

Stephen Gibson, of Goodwin Walk, Hartlepool, faces a minimum of three years in prison as his guilty plea means he is a ‘third strike’ burglar.

He along with David Gibson and Christopher Bowlt, both of Church Street, were all remanded in custody by the judge. He ordered pre-sentence reports for all.

All three men had been due to stand trial but changed their pleas. They will return to court in Middlesbrough to be sentenced on Tuesday, July 7.
