Three women in police custody after 'suspected cannabis' and cash discovered in Hartlepool vehicle search

Suspected cannabis, drugs paraphernalia and cash were recovered after Cleveland Police officers searched a vehicle in Hartlepool.

Three women, aged 19, 19 and 20 years old, have been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B drugs following the search, which took place on Sunday, November 17 at 9.30pm.

As of Monday, November 18, all three women remain in police custody.

Officers searched the vehicle in the town after smelling cannabis whilst speaking to the occupants, and recovered a quantity of suspected cannabis and drug paraphernalia.

Hundreds of pounds in cash was also seized.

The recovery led police to search an address on Lightfoot Crescent, Hartlepool, where further suspected cannabis was recovered.
