Two arrested in murder investigation after man falls ill outside bar
Cleveland Police has launched a murder investigation after the victim, a man, died in hospital on Friday.
Officers were called at around 3:20am where paramedics had been called to give medical assistance to a man who had collapsed in the street.

Hide AdHe was then taken to the University Hospital of North Tees by the emergency services. He was later pronounced dead.
Police believe that the man had been inside Goldie’s Bar on Stockton High Street where an incident had taken place and he left the premises prior to becoming ill outside.
Two men, aged 27 and 30, remain in the custody of Cleveland Police after being arrested on suspicion of murder.
A post mortem examination is due to take place on Friday, Cleveland Police say.

Hide AdIn a statement, the force said that the man has not yet been formally identified.
It added: “However, specially trained officers are supporting the man’s family and our thoughts remain with them at this difficult time.”
Anyone who may have been in Goldie’s Bar and who may have witnessed the incident or may have information regarding it is asked to contact Cleveland Police on the non-emergency number 101.
