Victim of attack outside Hartlepool Marina bar is out of hospital


THE victim of an attack outside a marina pub is recovering at home after spending around two weeks in hospital.

The 37-year-old Hartlepool man was left with serious head injuries after being assaulted in a disturbance outside Rosie O’Grady’s at Hartlepool Marina around 9.30pm on Sunday, June 1.

Cleveland Police studied CCTV footage and say there were a number of people in the area at the time and have issued a re-appeal for witnesses.

A 20-year-old man from Kent was arrested in connection with the incident and bailed pending further inquiries. Witnesses should ring Detective Sergeant Matt Hollingsworth, from the Major Crime Team, on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
