Wallet stolen from car

POLICE are appealing for information following the theft of a wallet from a car.

Officers say the leather wallet, which contained receipts and bank cards, was stolen from a car in the Burden Crescent area of Wingate, overnight on April 2.

Police are reminding people not to leave valuables in parked cars where possible.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Durham Police on the non-emergency number 101 and ask for PC Gary Fildes, in the Peterlee Priority Crime Team.
