POLICE are appealing for information after a pensioner suffered broken ribs after being hit by a car.
The 65-year-old man was walking along Station Road near to the junction with Central Avenue, in Billingham, when he was struck by a black Peugeot 307 that had just left a Tesco petrol station.
He fell to the ground and was taken to the University Hospital of North Tees, in Stockton, with two broken ribs.
The driver of the Peugeot, which stopped, was said to be unhurt.
Police are asking any witnesses to the incident at 11.05am on Friday, December 9, to come forward.
