Woman, aged 30, found dead at home

A RECOVERING alcoholic has been found dead in her house aged just 30.

The body of Tanya Blair was found at an address in Yoden Road, Peterlee.

It is believed she was recovering from an alcohol addiction, and had stopped drinking at the time of her death.

Police officers entered Ms Blair’s home on Saturday and found her dead.

They have ruled out any suspicious circumstances after investigating the property and getting the results of a post-mortem examination.

A file has now been handed to the coroner, who is expected to hold an inquest into Ms Blair’s death soon due to the nature of her sudden and unexplained death.

Tests are still being carried out into the exact cause of death.

A Durham Constabulary spokesman said: “Police found a body at an address in Yoden Road, Peterlee.

“Inquiries were carried out and the death is not being treated as suspicious.

“An inquest will be held in due course and tests are still being carried out.”
