A WOMAN accused of trying to murder her partner has made her first appearance in the crown court.

Lyndsey Marie Green, 32, appeared at Teesside Crown Court yesterday after she was charged with the attempted murder of Martin Strickland, 38.

Her arrest followed an incident at a house in Oxford Road, Hartlepool, on Tuesday, January 14, when Mr Strickland suffered stab wounds to his chest.

Green did not enter any plea during the short hearing conducted by the Recorder of Middlesbrough, Judge Simon Bourne-Arton.

There was no application for bail and Green, of Oxford Road, was remanded in custody.

She is due to enter a plea on April 4.
