Cyclist, 77, injured in fail-to-stop collision in Hartlepool

A witness appeal has been launched after an elderly cyclist was injured in a collision.

A fail-to-stop collision occurred between a vehicle and a 77-year-old cyclist on Baden Street, Hartlepool, on Monday, March 20 at 4.20pm.

It is believed the collision involved a small vehicle which was black in colour with a "child on board" sticker on it and it possibly had an "04" registration number.

Officers would like the driver of the vehicle to come forward as they may be able to assist with inquiries.

The cyclist suffered minor injuries and received treatment at the scene.

Any witnesses who may have seen the collision or may know the driver of the vehicle is asked to contact PC Andrew Lawson from the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on the non-emergency number 101, quoting event number 047561.
