Rafa Benitez and his staff will put the players, including the likes of new signings Jesus Gamez, Matt Ritchie and Dwight Gayle, through their paces.

Last year's event attracted 14,000 fans, and that figure could be bettered this time around with interest high in the Magpies ahead of their campaign in the Championship.

Activities will stretch from 9am into the early afternoon, with the full schedule yet to be announced.
