FAMILIES enjoyed a packed programme of events and fun activities hosted by staff at a community centre.
Belle Vue Community Sports and Youth Centre, in Kendal Road, Hartlepool, held the event at the weekend to bring an end to the half-term school holidays.
There was a host of activities including bike stamping, hook-a-duck, face-painting, a raffle and food and cake stalls.
It was organised by staff at the centre and it went down well with the dozens of families who attended the event.
Leanne Brown, who co-ordinates activities for children aged under 11 at the community centre, said: “The community fun day proved really popular and there were people coming and going all day.
“There was a host of activities taking place inside the community centre, including bike stamping carried out by the community officers.
“There was also hook-a-duck, face-painting, food and cake stalls, a raffle and rodeo bull inside the hall.
“It was a nice way to end the half-term holidays for the children, and they all really enjoyed themselves.”
