A HOUSING association director has been shortlisted for a national award.
Marion Brunskill, who works for East Durham Homes (EDH), is a finalist in the National Federation of ALMOs (NFA) awards 2011, in the board member of the year category.
The award recognises board members that go above and beyond to help colleagues and residents and who strive to get involved within the community.
“I am absolutely over the moon to have been nominated for this award and to be shortlisted is fantastic.” said Marion.
“I am really proud to be part of EDH and my local community, and hope what I do makes a difference.”
The awards are designed to recognise and celebrate hard work and acheivements of tenants and resident groups. The awards honour the individuals and groups who do so much at ground level to improve the lives of their neighbours and the communities in which they live.
Three finalists were chosen from eight categories.
Winners will be announced at a ceremony held at the Midland Hotel, in Manchester, on July 12.
Rachel Taylor, EDH’s director of finance and corporate services, said: “To be recognised and shortlisted for this award is a real acheivement for Marion and East Durham Homes, so fingers crossed for July when we find out who has won.”
