And don’t forget – the Dinosaurs book is all yours for absolutely free.

The town is gearing up for an influx of all of your favourite Disney characters.

Ahead of the big giveaway, village residents have pulled together to deck out a shop window with Disney goodies.

The Elwick Village Shop and Post Office now resembles the set of a Disney blockbuster thanks to the hard work of children and adults in the village.

Kind donations of Mickey, Minnie and Goofy soft toys and a host of other Disney goodies has turned the window into an array of vibrant colours and pictures.

Steve Mailen, 40, sub-postmaster in the village, got to work on preparing the display with shop manager Andrew Thomas, 30.

Steve, a dad of three, who is married to Nicola, 40, said: “It’s brilliant that our customers can come in here and leave with a free book so we wanted as many people as possible to know about it.

“It’s been hard work getting it all ready but I’m proud of how it’s looking.”

Steve praised the residents in the village who went out of their way to help.

He added: “Children from the school have let us use their Disney soft toys and people have been bringing all of their Disney goodies over for us to use.

“As soon as I saw the Mail was running a Disney book giveaway I thought it would make a fantastic display.

“It also links in with what the children have been learning about.

“Last week it was World Book Day so the kids have been doing a lot of reading in class, so this is something which will interest them.

“I think the display and the book collection will prove very popular.”

■The big giveaway beginning today is the start of a one-off opportunity for readers to collect the fantastic collection not available to buy in the shops.

Remember to collect the tokens, only available in your Mail, which can then be exchanged for subsequent books for just £2.99.
