Dog-lovers are being urged to join in an annual fundraiser to boost Hartlepool’s hospice.
Fundraisers at Alice House Hospice are inviting dog owners to register for their Dogs’ Big Day Out at Summerhill Country Park.
Registration is £7.50 per dog and there are group discounts available.
It includes a doggy bag, rosette, sponsored walk, entry into dog show and many other activities for you and your dog to take part in.
The event in being held on Sunday, July 2, from 10am-3pm.
The hospice’s community fundraiser Janice Forbes said: “We are really looking forward to the day and would like to thank Bridge Veterinary Group for kindly sponsoring the event.
“We would also like thank Cath Measor of the Academy of Dog Training & Behaviour for her valuable continued support.”
Other attractions will include:
• Dog agility display;
• Have a go agility;
• Grooming display;
• A display by the Academy of Dog Behavior and Training;
• Doggy games;
• Parade by Therapy Dogs Nationwide;
• Doggy tombola;
• Pet photographer;
• Doggy stalls selling an array of doggy products.
The hospice is also staging a photo competition.
Janice continued: “We are also launching a fun competition on June 9 where people are invited to submit photos of their beloved canine companions to be displayed in our online album on Facebook.
“The ten pictures with the most likes on Facebook will be displayed at the Dogs’ Big Day Out and the dog whose picture receives the most likes will receive a special prize.”
