Drainage works on road

ROADWORKS are expected to be in place for two days as workers deal with drainage problems.

The road between Station Town and Hutton Henry, especially the area around Rodridge Hall, will be repaired on Wednesday and Thursday.

It comes after Labour Councillor Rob Crute, Durham County Council representative for Blackhall, which includes Hutton Henry and Station Town, received reports of flood patches across the road, made worse by recent heavy rain.

Coun Crute contacted the authority’s highways engineer’s section, who have confirmed that drainage works will start on Wednesday, with temporary traffic lights in place.
