DELIGHTED parents have their own little prince who came into the world just hours after the Royal baby.

Clark was born weighing 8lb 3oz at the University Hospital of North Tees in Stockton, the same weight as the new Royal princess.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge left the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital, west London, on Saturday following the new arrival at 8.34am.

Clark was born at around 12.30pm on the same day, and new mum Nicola, a teaching assistant at St Aidan’s School in Hartlepool, said: “It’s amazing.”.

Nicola, of Dumfries Ropad, Hartlepool, added: “I think he was holding on, it’s like he knew. I was due on April 27 so he was five days over.

“It’s good for it to be on the same day as the Royal birth, there will be a story to tell him when he’s older.”

Clark will be entitled to receive one of 2,015 free lucky silver pennies which will be produced by The Royal Mint to mark the royal birth.

Parents of newborns who share a birthday with the new princess will have to register the birth of their child on The Royal Mint’s Facebook page to receive the commemorative gift.

The silver coin will be minted with the one penny’s Royal Shield design and the new effigy of the Queen, which was unveiled in March.

Wayne, who runs his business Little Kitchen and Bathroom Company, said: “Everyone has been saying he’s a little prince because he came on the same day. We are over the moon.

“He will also get a coin and there was just over 2,000 in the UK. That will go in the memory box.”

The princess – who is fourth in line to the throne – was safely delivered at 8.34am.

The Duke of Cambridge, who was present for the birth, brought his 21-month-old son Prince George to visit his sister in the hospital. He told the waiting crowds the couple were “very happy.”

Kate then cradled the new princess when she left hospital with Prince William.
