Household Waste Recycling Centre at Burn Road remains closed due to high winds

Following the closure on Monday, February 10 of the Recycling Centre, the Burn Road site will remain closed on Tuesday, February 11 as high winds continue.

The site had to close for the same reason on Tuesday, February 4.

A statement posted on the Hartlepool Borough Council Recycling Facebook page said: “Due to high winds the Household Waste Recycling Centre at Burn Road remains closed this morning.

“We will continue to monitor the situation and will advise if and when the site reopens. Please keep checking the Hartlepool Borough Council Recycling Facebook page for further updates.

“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience.”

The situation is being monitored in the area to allow for the centre to be reopened when safe to do so.
