Experts can help new businesses to flourish
Budding entrepreneurs with an idea they want to turn into a viable business are being urged to utilise the expertise of a support organisation.
East Durham Business Service (EDBS) has already supported hundreds of people into business.
Now, as statistics show more people than ever before are pursuing a path into self-employment, EDBS is calling on people to speak to its exerienced advisors to see what support is available to them.
Operations Director Denise Fielding said: “We know there are people out there who have an idea they think could work, or those with a genuine desire to give self employment a try. But often they don’t know where to start or what help they could get to turn their dream into a reality.
“It’s also important to stress that while our focus is on new starts, we can also help people who have recently launched a business.”
Emma Summerill, 37, launched Emma Isabella Floral Design, three years ago and it is flourishing in York Road in Peterlee.
Emma said: “Becoming self-employed was definitely the best thing I ever did.”
East Durham Business Service has flexible office space at its centres at Peterlee and Seaham, and has access to support programmes.
