Fancy trying beach volleyball in Hartlepool?


Hartlepool Community Volleyball Club are teaming up with sports development workers to encourage people to try beach sport this weekend.

People of all ages and ability can play volleyball for free on Seaton Carew beach on Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday.

Drop in anytime between 12pm-5pm when members of the club will be on the beach opposite the paddling pool.

The fun is being organised as part of Volleyball England’s national Go Spike Big Weekend in conjunction with Hartlepool council’s sport and physical activity team.

Daniel Garthwaite, of the council said: “The weekend promises to be action-packed and lots of fun.

“People of all ages are welcome to come along and try their hand at volleyball. No previous experience of volleyball is required.”
