Fire crews called to dishwasher blaze in Billingham

FIREFIGHTERS were called to put out a dishwasher fire.

A crew from Billingham Fire Station, along with one from Middlesbrough, were called to a house in Landseer Drive, in the Wolviston Grange area of Billingham, to reports of a fire.

Upon arrival they dicovered a fire in the kitchen.

One hose reel and two sets of breathing apparatus were used to tackle the flames.

The dishwasher was severely damaged by the fire and there was slight smoke damage to the kitchen.

There were no reports of anyone hurt in the incident, which happened at around 3pm on Sunday.

Firefighters were at the scene for around 15 minutes.
