GOLFERS are being given the chance to play one of the North-East’s most prestigious courses and help raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity.

Cleveland Fire Brigade’s Annual Charity Golf Day will be held at the Wynyard Golf Club on Thursday, July 18, when teams of four will battle it out over the 18-hole Wellington Course.

People can enter individually or as a team of four and those who enter individually will be allocated a team on arrival.

The day will start with golfers receiving coffee and a snack, play their round of golf which is followed by a three-course meal.

After the event there will be some great prizes for the top teams, as well as a draw with fantastic prizes.

Ian Hayton, Chief Fire Officer with Cleveland Fire Brigade, said: “We have had a great response to our Annual Charity Golf Day, but we still have a few places available.

“The Fire Fighters Charity supports serving and former fire service personnel and their families during their times of need.

“Over the years the charity has assisted many firefighters to improve their quality of life following accidents and injuries and has been a lifeline to thousands of people.”

The cost to enter a team of four is £320 or £80 for an individual player. To register contact Denise Lee, events and community engagement officer at the brigade on (01429) 874042 or at
