Firework explodes in 12-year-old boy's hood after being thrown from car

A 12-year-old boy was left shaken after being hit by a firework thrown from a car in Hartlepool.

The terrifying incident took place as the youngster was walking along Harwich Grove, at about 7.40pm on Friday, November 4.

The firework was thrown by the male passenger of a passing black vehicle, landing in the hood of the victim’s coat, where it exploded.

Thankfully, the boy was uninjured victim was uninjured, however, the firework left a hole in the hood of his coat.
