Flood warning in place for North East coast due to tidal surge and winds

A FLOOD warning has been issued for the North East coast due to an expected tidal surge and strong winds.

The Environment Agency has issued details of where they expect will be in danger when the waters are at their highest.

The warning covers the majority of the UK’s east coast with high water expected along the coast since yesterday evening.

The agency has advised people to check its website regularly for updates.

The warnings are expected to remain in place until later today.
