DRIVERS are facing rush hour headaches after heavy fog descended on Hartlepool and East Durham.
And weathermen have warned there is likely to be no let-up in the conditions for the rest of the day.
Fog has shrouded the region all morning and experts at the Met Office have predicted it will remain until at least 7pm.
They say visibility will be very poor throughout the day and temperatures will feel colder than the actual 11C.
By this evening, the fog will turn to light rain.
Conditions will improve by tomorrow morning but there will be more fog at around 7am tomorrow in Hartlepool, say Met Office officials.
