Footsore Jeff Stelling is onto day four of epic walking challenge

Soccer Saturday presenter Jeff Stelling is now a third of the way on his epic walk challenge.

Popular Jeff, from Hartlepool, set off from his beloved Victoria Park on the road to Wembley on Monday.

He is walking 10 marathons in 10 days to the national stadium, visiting football grounds along the route as he is joined by friends from the worlds of sport and politics.

The challenge is in aid of Prostate Cancer UK.

Yesterday, Jeff was joined by Scunthorpe United Football Club chairman Peter Swann, as well as the club’s mascot, “Scunny Bunny”, on the route between Doncaster and Scunthorpe.

Hartlepool United chief executive Russ Green is going to be with Jeff every step of the way to Wembley, and the pair will today be involved in the fourth leg of the journey.

They will go from Rotherham to Chesterfield via Sheffield.

Among those joining them will be Sheffield United FC manager Nigel Adkins, Lord Blunkett, Clive Betts MP, Paralympian Will Bayley and Angela Culhane, the CEO of Prostate Cancer UK.
