Pools have just 14 days to raise around £200,000 to pay a tax bill to the HMRC and make sure players and staff are paid on time.

Should they not meet their financial requirements by Thursday, January 25 the club could be plunged into administration.

Fans from across the country have helped raise thousands to potentially boost Pools' coffers, but now Thomas, who left to sign for Sheffield United in the summer, has also chipped in with a shirt from the 2015/16 campaign.

The shirt, which is signed and comes with a certificate of authenticity, will be auctioned off on Ebay. Bids can be placed here.

The auction ends in six days.

A statement on Pools website reads: "All funds raised from the auction will go to Hartlepool United."
