AN accident involving four cars has been reported on the A19.

But police say there were little or no injuries reported from the incident on a southbound lane of the dual carriageway in the Hartlepool area at 8.13am today.

A spokesman for Cleveland Police said the incident happened on the A19 southbound directly underneath the A689 interchange.

Four vehicles were involved - a red Vauxhall Corsa, a black BMW, a green Ford Fiesta and a black Mercedes.

But by 9am, the Fiesta was the only vehicle still at the scene.

The spokesman said the incident had been reported as a “damage only” incident with few or no injuries.
