Four fascinating shots of Hartlepool in the 1980s

This week, we are delighted to share four images which show Hartlepool as it looked 35 years ago.

They come to us thanks to John Roe from the West View area of town.

One shows the building of the new Central Estate while another shows the arch at the Town Wall.

A third is a view which looks towards the Kirkham Hotel while the fourth shows boats by the waterside, undergoing repairs and painting.
