IT was party time for members of an after school and holiday club who were treated to a visit from Santa and characters from the hit movie Frozen.
Youngsters aged three to 16 who attend the council-run Oscar Playcentre based at West Rugby Club, on Catcote Road, let their hair down.
Children also enjoyed a Christmas buffet and disco.
Sandra Robinson, Hartlepool Borough Council’s Out of School Coordinator, said: “We have a great group of children who attend the Oscar Playcentre and they fully deserved their pre-Christmas treat.
“Staff prepared a Christmas buffet and they all wore party hats to get in the Christmas spirit.”
Oscar’s after-school service involves staff picking up children from school and taking them to the centre where they take part in a wide range of educational and fun activities to help ease the pressure on working parents.
The scheme also operates during most school holidays when youngsters cam join in a packed day between 8am and 5.45pm.
Oscar’s has been hailed as “outstanding” by Ofsted inspectors.
