Fuel thief sold cheap diesel

A BUS driver who tried to undercut the petrol pumps by offering motorists fuel at £1 a litre on his company card racked up a £1,200 diesel debt.

Alan Bower used a Shell card, provided by his employers Ace Executive Travel, to fill company vehicles as a second income while working part-time for the minibus firm.

He touted the card to other motorists and let them fill up their own vehicles with diesel, offering them a bargain at £1 a litre for cash in hand paying the true amount on the card.
