A NEW business is starting with a flourish as staff get set to hold an open day and raise money for charity.
Fine and Dandy Childcare is holding a fun day on Saturday to announce the opening of the flexi-time service, while raising money for Hartlepool & District Hospice.
Among the attractions at the unit at 110 Whitby Street South, Hartlepool, will be local dance group Lil Diamondz, who are fresh from being crowned winners on Alesha’s Street Dance Stars, a CBBC television’s search for Britain’s best young street dancers.
Drinks and cakes will be on sale with staff taking donations for the hospice, while a big raffle will be held with prizes donated from local firms.
Children will also have the chance to get their faces painted. The event starts at 11am with no finish time set. Lil Diamondz will perform at noon.
Michelle Blenko, from Fine and Dandy Childcare, said: “We are a new business and we thought we’d start by raising some money for the hospice.
“It will be a fun day and all proceeds will be going to help what they do.
“There will be lots of different activities going on and Lil Diamondz will be there doing their dancing.
“We also have some fantastic prizes in the raffle and we hope to get a good crowd and raise plenty of money for the hospice.”
