PEOPLE can get help to quit smoking ahead of a national campaign.
A team of stop smoking advisors from North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust are running the event next Tuesday in the lead up to No Smoking Day, on Wednesday, March 9.
People area being invited to come along to the Headland Sports Hall, in Union Street, between 10am and 2pm.
The stop smoking team will be on hand to answer questions, offer advice and they will be carrying out simple lung health tests such as the spirometry test, which measures the amount and speed of the air that people can get in and out of their lungs.
Service manager Pat Marshall said: “You’re four times more likely to quit smoking if you get help from the stop smoking service – come along and get some support.”
