Ghostly walk on Headland

PREPARE to be spooked, entertained and educated with two free upcoming walks on the Headland.

Master story teller Steve Robbins will regale walkers with spooky stories of the Headland in the upcoming event on Thursday, June 20.

It begins at 6.30pm and will last around two hours and take in around two miles of walking.

The landscape of the Headland will be the focus of another informative walk with Tees archeologist and historic environment specialist Robin Daniels.

It will take place on Saturday, July 13, at 10am, and will last around three hours.

The walk will end at the Heugh Gun Battery Museum and refreshments will be available at St Hilda’s Church from 9.30am.

Both walks are free and are funded partly by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

If you would like to take part in either walk, book by contacting Ken Bradshaw on 03000 267152 or email ken.bradshaw@durham.gov.uk.
