Go green to fight crime

HOMEOWNERS are being asked to put a date in their diary for free crime fighting advice.

Residents are being urged to head down to Stranton Nursery, in Tanfield Road, Hartlepool, to learn the best ways to secure their homes and gardens from 10am to noon on Saturday, September 17.

The Plants Against Crime scheme, backed by Hartlepool Borough Council, Hartlepool Crime Prevention Panel and Cleveland Police, sees community safety staff visiting the nursery throughout the warmer months to host the free sessions.
