Hundreds of people are expected to take part and the Feast committee chairman Bev Hutchinson said a small, but dedicated committee of people had worked tirelessly to put on a great range of events.

Relay races, egg and spoon challenges and other traditional games are being planned as well as a yard of ale competition.

Activities already held included a pensioners tea party, baby show and church service at the parish church of St John the Baptist.

Tomorrow, crowds will gather on the village green for the grand parade.

Sunday’s highlights include a church service and games.
