A group which helps people around retirement age is on the lookout for more volunteers.
The Active At 60 programme has grants available to volunteer-led community groups in Hartlepool.
The money is awarded to groups where the average annual income is 50,000 or less and whose members will give their time to become Active At 60 community agents.
Community agents are volunteers who are nearing or at retirement age.
It particularly helps people who are most at risk of social isolation and loneliness in later life.
Anyone interested in applying to develop the role should contact Tees Valley Community Foundation for an application form on (01642) 260860.
The closing date for completed applications to be returned is Friday, February 25.
