STARGAZERS can look forward to their latest monthly meeting being held on the outskirts of Hartlepool later this week.
The Cleveland and Darlington Astronomical Society meets on Friday where the group’s honorary life member Dr Mark Swinbank will be giving a talk to the audience explaining his work.
The group meets on a monthly basis with guest speakers keeping the audience entertained.
Dr Swinbank, of Durham University, will deliver the latest presentation which is entitled “The ALMA telescope: A New Window on the Universe”.
The meeting is being held at The Planetarium, Wynyard Woodland Park, Thorpe Thewles.
Guests are asked to meet at the venue at 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start.
Regular CaDAS members and members of the public are all welcome to attend all of the meetings.
Admission is £2 for adults, and £1.50 for concessions.
