East Durham College hairdressing lecturer Angela Johnston praised the students, saying: “It was another great performance by the team at the AHT event in Gateshead this year.
“All the students put in fantastic performances and it was a brilliant feeling to see them come home with a host of medals.
“Now we are getting the team prepared for the nationals in Blackpool, it’s a huge event, and we will be up against some brilliant colleges from all across Britain.
“We performed really well last year and I hope we can shine once again at the event this year.”
