ORGANISERS behind a council-run play scheme are encouraging parents to look to them during the Easter school holidays.
Oscar’s after school and holiday programme, based at West Rugby Club in Catcote Road, caters for children aged three to 16.
During the Easter break and until Thursday, April 17 parents can drop off their children from 8am with breakfast provided for them on arrival. They then embark on an “action-packed day of fun and thrills” prior to being collected by parents by 5.45pm.
Sandra Robinson, Hartlepool Council’s out of school co-ordinator, said: “The team have put together a varied programme which include a ‘onesie’ day, fashion show, Easter egg hunt, jewellery making plus visits to Ward Jackson, Summerhill, Vue Cinema and Hall Hill Farm.
“Our experienced team are great with the children and everyone is looking forward to the Easter holiday fun. As a parent myself I know how difficult it can be to juggle working and looking after the children and hopefully Oscar’s can make things easier for parents during school holidays.
“Children have a great time with us and parents can relax knowing that their children are in safe hands.”
The after-school service involves Oscar’s staff picking up children from school and transporting them to Catcote Road.
Parents then have until 6pm to collect their children.
