People can prepare to be shocked this Halloween as a spooktacular event returns for a second year.
The Friends of Ward Jackson Park in Hartlepool are holding its Halloween Spooktacular event on Saturday, October 31, between 6pm and 8pm .
Organisers say it will be a truly spooky time for all the family, and they are hoping to grow on the success of last year’s event.
Secretary of The Friends of Ward Jackson Park, Joanne Shaw, said: “Last year’s event was extremely successful, and this year will hopefully be even more spooktacular.”
There’s fun for all the family in store, with a spooky house and graveyard, plus funfair and music taking place in the bandstand.
Halloween revellers will also have the chance to have their photograph taken with various characters, while walking around the park.
For those more daring, take a stroll through the terrifying zombie woodland walk.
To buy tickets, visit the Place in the Park Coffee Shop within the grounds of Ward Jackson Park, the cost is £2 each.
Children under three years old can enter for free, while under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
Tickets can also be bought on the night at the gates.
However, the event organisers are urging park goers to avoid the long queues and buy the tickets in advance, to take advantage of the two fast-track lanes.
