Happy to wait for few hours

There is an advert which says you can claim Â£500 if your flight was delayed for three hours.

I remember one of the worst aircraft disasters ever when a Dutch pilot attempted to take off at Tenerife airport in thick fog, colliding with an American plane taxiing on the same runway, with the loss of over 400 lives.

Also the Manchester United Munich air disaster.

The pilot tried twice to take off with excess ice on the plane.

We all know the result of his third attempt.

Coming home from Gran Canaria a few years ago, our flight was delayed because of a mechanical fault.

But I won’t be trying to claim money for the delay.

If I have to wait for a few hours because of mechanical or bad weather problems I’m quite happy to do so.
