NINE students from a Hartlepool academy are days away from living the Italian dream.
The team from Nadine’s Academy of Dance and Performing Arts have qualified to represent England at the World Dance Championship in Rimini.
It will be held from Wednesday, May 27 to Saturday, May 30 and the Hartlepool contingency will be part of a team of 150 who are going over to make up Team England.
This year’s event takes place in Bellaria-Igea Marina, Rimini Italy. It starts with the Parade of Nations and opening ceremony on Wednesday, May 27.
Then, the serious competition starts the next day and marks the beginning of three days of competing in categories such as fantasy, free show, belly dance, Caribbean dance and jazz funk.
Further categories including hip hop, house break, dance show, musical, Rock’n’Roll, Twist, Tap & Dance Pop .
The England Dance Squad helps dancers to represent their country at the International Dance Federation(IDF) World and European Championships.
