Hartlepool Burn Road Harriers compete in York and Darlington 10k races
Simon and Angela Lawlor raced the Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All in York 10k, a race that attracts thousands of runners.
Simon had a great run to achieve a personal best time over the 6.23 mile distance of 46:35.

Hide AdAngela is coming back from injury and was very pleased to cross the line safely in 57:51.
The Darlington 10k is also very popular as a well organised and fast race.
This year it attracted international GB athlete, Gemma Steele, who won the women’s race in 33:46.
Tadele Geremew Mulugeta, from Elswick Harriers, won the men’s race in 31:24.

Hide AdHartlepool’s Paul Wilson was the first Burn Road Harrier to cross the line in 35:48, a couple of minutes outside his best time over the distance, but happy nonetheless.
Darren Armstrong set himself a new PB in 36:06. A great result for Darren who will certainly go sub-35 soon.
Richard Hodgson excels on the road and always finishes amongst the top Vet50 Men.
He raced to the finish line just 10 seconds outside his best time in 37:41.

Hide AdSteven Morrison was next in 37:58, with John Davis following in 39:40.
Bryan Astill took the course in his stride, crossing the line in 40:40, with Keith Galbraith next in 44:21.
The next Harrier to cross the line was Graeme Surtees in 48:03, with Peter Johnson next in 50:05 and Claire Earle the first female Harrier in 53:14.
Pauline Ranson had a good run in 56:08 and Julie and Christopher McGrath both showed good form in the sunshine to finish in 63:54 and 64:41.
